This desert region is situated 20 km from Marrakesh and its palm groves, in the area between the lake Lalla Takerkoust, the massif of the High Atlas and the mines of Guemassa.
A unique sensation at the edge of Marrakesh, a region which is especially still untouched by tourism.
The area is called "the desert" because of its extreme aridity and the shaping of the ground which lets you imagine sand dunes.
Its white colour only strengthens this impression of immensity.
At the background there are the splendid massifs of the High Atlas and of the Toubkal, by clear weather.
Numerous canyons hide small oases and multiple sheepfolds are situated in this desert.
