OUARZAZATE, centre of an extensive region of Morocco's South which hides incomparable natural splendours, this city evokes at the same time the foothills of the southern High Atlas and the proximity of the desert. Its countless Kasbahs of pisé, mountains and arid plains, green valleys and oases, palm grouves and villages made of red and ocre clay.
This city has also earned a worldwide reputation as a place for productions of international films such as "Gladiator" or Kingdom of Heaven.

Visit of Kasbahs. Departure by the road of Valley of Dades to reach Boulmane (or by track to Bou Tharar)
We shall cross the Gorges of Dades through small green orchards and the baptized rocks «phalanxes of monkeys «until Msemrir who marks the beginning of the track. Stop over in Tamtatoucht then following a rocky landscape before arriving at the gorges of Todra, impressive high wall of more than 300 m .

The gorges of Todra make it to be one of the most beautiful natural sites of Morocco . Crystalline water runs there. More and more climbing amateurs come to practise their passion. Long parade of gorges with impressive heights, a place where peace reigns.
Dinner and accommodation at Kasbah Lamrani
Breakfast and departure to Erfoud via Tinjdad located in the palm grove of Ferkla. Discovery of Fougaras: cunning system of irrigation given by an alignment of wells communicating by subterranean galleries. Then, going on to Erfoud: the administrative center of Tafilalt. This region has a prestigious historical past.
Its capital Sijilmassa, established during the VIIth century near Rissani, was a big caravan port from XIth to XVth and XVIIth centuries. Sijilmassa reached its highlight during the
XIVth century with the slave market of Timbuktu , then with the Alaouites family, from which the current king Mohamed VI, is a descendant.
Continuation towards Merzouga, through a succession of ksars, oases and palm groves.
Settling at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes to attend the magnificent sunset.
Half an hour camel ride.
