Day 1 : Marrakesh / Ouazazate / Skoura |

Day 2 : Skoura / Boulmane / Tinghir
|

Visit of Kasbahs. Departure by the road of Valley of Dades to reach Boulmane (or by track to Toundoute / Bou Tharar)
We shall cross the Gorges of Dades through small green orchards and the baptized rocks «phalanxes of monkeys «until Msemrir who marks the beginning of the track. Stop over in Tamtatoucht then following a rocky landscape before arriving at the gorges of Todra, impressive high wall of more than 300 m .

The gorges of Todra make it to be one of the most beautiful natural sites of Morocco . Crystalline water runs there. More and more climbing amateurs come to practise their passion. Long parade of gorges with impressive heights, a place where peace reigns.

Day 3 : Tineghir Erfoud – Merzouga
|
Breakfast and departure to Erfoud via Tinjdad located in the palm grove of Ferkla. Discovery of Fougaras: cunning system of irrigation given by an alignment of wells communicating by subterranean galleries. Then, going on to Erfoud: the administrative center of Tafilalt. This region has a prestigious historical past.
Its capital Sijilmassa, established during the VIIth century near Rissani, was a big caravan port from XIth to XVth and XVIIth centuries. Sijilmassa reached its highlight during the XIVth century with the slave market of Timbuktu , then with the Alaouites family, from which the current king Mohamed VI, is a descendant.
Continuation towards Merzouga, through a succession of ksars, oases and palm groves. Settling at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes to attend the magnificent sunset.
Dinner and accommodation under nomad tent.
Half an hour camel ride.

Day 4 - Merzouga - Mecissi - Alnif - N'Kob
|
Breakfast at the bivouac
You will leave early in the morning to admire the sunrising over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
The Erg Chebbi dunes spread over kilometers
They are sublimated at dawn and sunrise as they change colours from one hour to another : from pink to ochre then from red to orange .

Day 5 - N'Kob-Tazzarine – Tamegrout - Zagora
|
Breakfast at the guest house
Departure to Zagora via Tazzarine by track crossing the desert plateau where only few villages coming from two major tribes of the region, brave those difficult life conditions.
Crossing the pass of Tizin' Tafilalet which gives access to the valley of Drâa and the oasis of Zagora located on the verge of palm groves Ternata and Ferzouata, at the foot of a rocky peak where you will find remains of a fortress set up by Almoravides during the XIth century. Discovery of Tamegrout, Religious center known for its library and its handwritten and invaluable Korans written on gazelle skin. Visit of the potters' neighbourhood.
Lunch at the Asmaa Kasbah of Zagora. Free afternoon or visit of the Tamgrout library according to week days Friday being prayer day.
Dinner and accommodation at Palais Asma in Zagora.

Day 6 - Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh |
Breakfast and departure to Ouarzazate by going up the stream of the Draa river «the Loire of sands ", lined with palm trees and with pink laurels spraying a whole string of oasis and irrigating the long charming valley for more than 200 km . Stop in Agdz: small village dominated by l rocky fish bone of Jbel Kissane.

Off to discover the city of Ouarzazate, a garrison town based in 1928, it kept its style: streets stretch as lines edged by cubic houses. Ouarzazate since, became the small Moroccan Hollywood (numerous films took place, and are still shot there). The region of Ouarzazate is populated with Berbers, who in spite of the very rough climatic conditions oscillating between scorching heat waves and the dry cold, are settled. Visit of kasbah Taourit which once belonged to Pasha Glaoui of Marrakesh . Its walls emanate an unforgettable atmosphere. |
