22 km from Tanaant, a road to the left leads to one of the most beautiful sites of the Mid Atlas, where luxurious waterfalls, crowned with an aura of an almost permanent rainbow, rush of a height of 100 m in a pool of calcareous rocks among a luxuriant vegetation.
It is possible to bathe at the bottom of the waterfalls, accessible by a shaded path scattered with olive trees. At the top of the falls, just a step from the impressive abyss, stand a dozen of small ancient mills still in service thanks to the stream. In the twilight, we wach families of monkeys messing around in carob trees, these big trees with delicious fruits they are so fond of.

Hundred of “Macaques Maggots”, beige haired, black eye lined, set their residence in the caves. It is possible to venture beyond waterfalls, up to the village of Tanaghmelt. We can also take a narrow and difficult track ending on the road to Beni Mellal by going down the Gorges of Oued El-Abid by a magnificent canyon from which we sometimes do not distinguish the bottom about 600 m steep.
