Kasbahs, arisen from rammed earth architecture, were built, to mark the power of "caïds" and southern Morocco Pashas. Sahara endows Morocco with its first big princely dynasty: Almoravides.
Region : Aït ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, skoura, boulmanes Dades, the gorges of Dades and toghra, djebel Saghro, Valley of Draa, Zagora, M'hamid, Sahara desert, erg Chegaga, lac Iriki, Tazenarht .

Day 1 : Marrakesh / Télouet/ait ben haddou/Ouarzazate-- Distances: 220 km of which 100km of trak, approximately 6/7h
|
Departure towards Ouarzazate by the pass of Tichka and the track of Télouet (subject to weather forecast). Visit of Pasha Glaoui's Kasbah in Télouet, track of the caravans of the salt. This 29 km itinirary requires approximately 3 hours, the route follows the valley of Assif Ounila , arrival to Aît Ben Haddou, classified UNESCO world heritage. Visit of the site. Lunch in the village Aït Ben Haddou. Continuation towards Ouarzazate, main center of a vast South Moroccan region which conceals incomparable natural magnificences Ouarzazate evokes at the same time southern foothills of the High Atlas and closeness of the desert.

Day 2: skoura / Tazenarht / erg chicaga -- Distances : 315km of which 140km of trak, approximately 8/9h
|
Road to Return to Ouarzazate, departure on the track, the secret of the assif Ait Douchchene, the green valley , the surprising discovery of Berber life. We shall arrive at Tazenarht then Foum Zuigd for the meal. Departure to Moroccan Sahara which starts here. By track to the lake Iriki (huge dry lake) passing by the tabular mountains: M' daouar Kebir and Shrir, discovery of fossiles sites
for a nice late afternoon drive.

Day 3 : skoura Erg Chigaga /M'hamid / Zagora -- Distances : 150 km of which 50km of trak, approximately 5/6h
|
Sunrise and morning walk. After breakfast departure by tracks into Sahara, to reach the African village of M'Hamid , at the Southern part of this region of Morocco . Then departure to discover the palm groves of Draa, then departure by road or track of Tagounite to Ben Ali, visit of the koranic Library, troglodyte and potter's village of Tamgroute towards Zagora. Night at the hotel Palace Asmaa, in Zagora. |

Day 4 : Zagora/ Agdz/ Ouarzazate / Marrakesh -- Distances: 400 km of which 30km of trak, approximately 8/9h
|
On the Returnway, we shall cross Valley of Draa palm groves, discovery of palm date trees, fields of henna and hard wheat, between villages and ksours, a universe to be discovered before leaving the big Morrocan South. Crossing Tizi' n Tinififft pass offers a surprising landscape in this vast desert of basalt rock, with massifs of the high Atlas for background. Then, towards Marrakesh by the Tichka pass.
