You'll reach the rich valley of Ait Bougmez from Marrakesh after 5 hours by car or tourist transport (optional), you'll reach your cottage in a village in the happy valley: the Imeghlas douar.
You'll be greeted by Ali and his wife who'll accompany you to your room and take you around their lodgings. Now settled in the heart of the valley, your stay in the High Atlas with your family can begin!

Depending on your time of arrival in the village, you can use your free time to discover the surroundings of the hostel, relax and get to know the family.
Dinner and overnight at the inn.

Day 2: AIT IMI AND DINOSAURS TRACES

The fun goal of this day of walking will enchant your children. They'll leave to discover real traces of dinosaurs of the early Jurassic!
After breakfast, you'll have an appointment with your guide and mules for a day that includes 4 hours of walking. It is on the back of mules that your children undertake the journey of the day, through the oasis of a high mountain that is the valley of Ait Bougmez.
The trails of your hike take you through Berber countryside irrigated by a great traditional irrigation system: the seguias. It is near the village of Ibaklioum that you observe the traces of extraordinary creatures that populate the dreams of your children.

After this meeting with the vestiges of a distant past, you take the direction of the Douar of Aït Imi. This small village was once built by Jewish families who populated the valley to allow their community to live independently but with respect for other faiths.
You'll have lunch at a picnic in the shade of fruit trees before leaving for the cottage that you'll reach in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at the inn.

Day 3: FORTIFIED ATTIC OF SIDI MOUSSA

Your morning will be devoted to the discovery of an architectural edifice emblematic of Berber culture: the fortified attic.

With a 2h30 walk, your day hike is quite short but rather sporty. It follows a fairly steep mountain path that will take you to the top overlooking the village of Timit where the fortified fortress of Sidi Moussa was built. Circular in shape, it was a safe place for families in the valley to shelter looters from their precious or vital possessions such as crops, jewels or saffron. Its strategic position at the top of a promontory offers the attic an extraordinary view of the 3 valleys that surrounds it: the valley of Ait Bougmez, the valley of Ait Hkim and the valley of Rbat.

Back at the douar d'Imeghlas, you will have lunch with a local before embarking on an afternoon devoted to the discovery of the traditional activities of the region. This immersion in the daily life of the inhabitants of the valley varies according to the season and reflects their life of the moment. It will allow you to discover the work of the fields, to accompany a shepherd and his flock or to introduce you to weaving.
Back at the end of the day to your cottage.
Dinner and last night at the inn.

Day 4: DOUAR IMEGHLAS (AIT BOUGMEZ)> ...

Your stay in the High Atlas with a family will come to an end. After a last breakfast at the cottage, you'll take leave of Ali and his family and leave the valley of Ait Bougmez to take the road towards your final destination.
